bed-laptopI am online all the time and I am always looking for websites that will help make my life easier or make tasks more simple.  I came across this list on Get Organized and thought I would share with my readers.

1.  Chorebuster – automatically creates chore lists and schedules.  I have personally used this and it is a great resourse.

2.  Cozi – great free site that manages your families’ schedule, shopping lists, and household chores.  You can do so from your PC or your mobile phone.

3.  Hassle Me – this site will send you nagging emails and hassle you about things you need to do.

4.  Tripit – great site to help you organizer your tips with directions, restaurant and weather info.

5.  My Punch Bowl – great for all your party planning needs.

6.  TurboTax:  ItsDeductible Online – keeps track of your donations and determines the value of your donated items.

7.  Remember the Milk – manages and organizes all your tasks online.

These are just a few of the great sites out there you can utilize to make life easier.  What are some of your favorite websites?

Double Duty Divas – Yes, I Am One

divaslogolarge

I have been friends with Bridgette from the Not-So-Blog’s Experimental Mommy forever – way before we had kids.  That’s why when I found out that her and Cecelia from Cool Baby Kid had this great new venture called Double Duty Divas, I was in!

What are the Double Duty Diva’s? They are a great group of moms that do it all – work outside the home, manage their families, and blog.  Here are some other Double Duty Moms you should check out:

You can also find us on Twitter.  Just search for us under #DDDivas.

Working Mom of the Week – Dianna Bougher

Name: Dianna Bougher

Occupation: Freelance Graphic Designer

Describe Your Occupation:
I am a freelance graphic designer who works out of my home. I concept and design everything from brochures, annual reports, postcards, invitations, packaging, logos, corporate identity, web sites and more.

Tell us about yourself:
I am a first time mom with an 8 week old son, Damian. I have been married for a little over a year to my wonderful husband Bryan. We have an awesome dog, Mia, who adores her little brother.

I am a very creative person and love what I do for a living. And it’s even better that I’m able to stay at home with my son.

Tell us what a typical day is like for you: I get up when Damian gets up which lately has been around 6 a.m. I feed him then I feed Mia.

Damian eats about every 2 – 3 hours so I have lots of bottles to wash during the day and lots of diapers to change. I usually have at least one load of laundry to do a day as well.

When Damian isn’t sleeping I’m usually holding him or making faces to entertain him. I also try to get some tug of rope in with Mia.

While Damian sleeps I am working on whatever design project is due.

My husband gets home around 6 p.m. and luckily he is the cook of the household. He helps with Damian duty in the evenings so I can make my design deadlines.

After a late night feeding, I hold Damian until he falls asleep which is usually around 11:30 then off to bed. He has been waking up around 2 – 2:30 a.m. for a feeding. Then the day starts again around 6 a.m.

What are some of your challenges?
Having enough time in the day to get all the stuff on my to do list done.

Dinner – I told my husband I would have dinner ready for him when he gets home, even though he is a better cook than I am, but I have not had the chance to cook since Damian’s arrival.

How do find balance in your life?
I make sure I make time for my husband, my son, my dog and myself. Even if it’s just 20 minutes at the end of the day with my husband or 10 minutes tug of rope session with Mia.

I also make a to do list every day so I don’t have to remember some of the more important things I have to do that day. Takes a lot of stress off of myself and allows me to stay organized. It also keeps me from putting too much on my plate every day.

What do you do to take time for yourself?
I just started taking Mia for a walk or quick run in the mornings before my husband goes to work.

I hope to work in some Taebo or yoga or some form of exercise a few times a week.

Do you have any advice for other working moms?
Make sure you make time for everyone in your family including yourself. Even if it’s just a nice hot shower (with or without the husband).

Set attainable, daily goals.

Do you have a favorite tool or resource that you use to help stay organized?
My to do list. Sounds corny – I know but it really helps me. I type mine up on my computer in my graphics program.
