Tempt My Tummy Tuesday: Colorful Ranch Chicken

This recipe is a hit with the kids.

You need:

2 cups colorful Gold Fish crackers, crushed

2/3 cup bottled ranch salad dressing

1lb chicken breasts cut into smaller sizes (to cook faster)

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.  Line a 9×13 pan with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray.  Place the ranch dressing and the crushed crackers on separate paper plates (for easy clean up).  Dip the chicken into the dressing and then the cracker crumbs.  Make sure both sides are coated.  Put the chicken in the pan and bake for 20 minutes or until chicken is done.

Tempt my Tummy Tuesdays

Are you stressed out?

For various reasons right now, I have been under a lot of stress.  I think that all of us mothers can sometimes find life overwhelming.  Here are some things that I do to help relieve stress.

Exercise

Last week I was feeling very overwhelmed and very tense.  I grabbed my iTouch and headed out for a walk.  The exercise and fresh air did me good and I felt tons better after I was done.

Talk to someone

This can be a friend, family member, or even a someone such as a therapist.  It helps to get things out in the open.  Sometimes we just need to get things off of our chests.  I tend to keep things bottled up and it’s not always easy for me, but I do feel better after talking to someone.

Listen to music

Sometimes when I am feeling stressed and I am driving in my car, I will turn up the music loud.  I have even done that at times at work with my iTouch.  Something about listening to some of my favorite tunes just helps my mood.

Watch some TV or a movie

While I don’t advocate becoming a couch potato, sometimes it’s just nice to lose yourself in some mindless reality TV (Real Housewives of Orange County is a fav of mine) or a funny move (like The Proposal).  It’s nice to just escape for a bit at times.

These are just a few things I do to help when I am feeling overwhelmed and stressed out.

A to Z Challenge – A, B, C

In order to inspire me to blog every day, I signed up for the A to Z Challenge here.  Of course, I am already behind, so today I am going to do A, B, and C.

A is for Apple

And I am not talking about the one that you eat.  I am talking about the company.   I would probably cringe if I added up all the money that I have spent on Apple products in the past few years from iTunes, to my iPod, and the 4 iTouches our family owns.  And how could I forget about the beloved iPad??  Yes, we have been sucked into the Apple vortex in our family.

B is for Brrrrrrrrrr

It’s supposed to be spring here but let me tell you it does not feel like it.  We are just finally getting rid of all the snow but it’s still too cold and windy.  It feels more like fall.  I sure as heck hope we are done with snow around here cause I am so over it.

C is for Coach

Purses that is.  I love love love Coach purses.  They are my favorite and thanks to the discovery of Coach outlet stores, I am fortunate enough to own a couple.  I just think they are great looking purses.

Head on over and check out more A to Z Challenge participants!
