I just got done updating my iPhone and my iPad to iOS6. So far, I haven’t noticed any features that are going to be life-altering. In all honesty, I don’t really notice a whole lot of difference other than the Facebook integration.
Here are a couple things I am looking forward to:
1. Cleaner email – I can tell on the iPad already that my email just looks nicer with iOS6, especially newsletter type emails that I receive. I like that photos on the iPhone will just be at the bottom and won’t have to be downloaded.
2. Facebook integration – I like the ease in which I can post to Facebook. I don’t do it a ton, but will probably do a bit more now that it’s even easier in iOS6.
3. Call Messages – In iOS6, I like the fact that if I need to ignore a call, I can have it send a text to the caller to let them know I will call back.
I can tell you my one big disappointment with iOS6. I thought I had read somewhere that the iPad 2 would get Siri with the upgrade. I was totally bummed when I finished downloading iOS6 today and didn’t have Siri on my iPad 2.
So far, that’s all I see beneficial with the iOS6 upgrade. I am going to use for a couple weeks and come back with any new thoughts.
