For a brief window of time every day, I am at the top of my game. I remember my to-do list down to the most minor detail. I get great ideas for blog posts or to pitch to magazines. I have my work day all planned out. Basically, I am superwoman.
Do you know when that moment is?
When I am in the shower.
I know that I am not alone. We talk about this at work and then I read this post the other day and I had to smile because I had already started this blog post.
Unfortunately, by the time I have turned off the water and dried off, all these great thoughts and ideas somehow end up down the drain along with the shampoo I rinsed from my hair.
The problem with being so brilliant in the shower then, as I am sure you know, is it’s not exactly a good place to write down all my brilliant thoughts. Paper gets just a little soggy and I don’t really want to bring my phone into the shower and try to type up notes while I am all wet. To be honest, my time in the shower would multiply since I would be too busy writing down all my awesome thoughts.
In the article I link to above, Courtney has a good idea in that she keeps a dry erase marker in her bathroom. I might have to try that to insure I don’t keep missing these great ideas. Other than that, I am not sure what else to do. Surely there’s an app for that?
Where do you do your best thinking?
